It also works better if you use some sea salt. As for NOT cleaning silver I would suggest looking up how museums clean their silver. This? way as it looses NONE of the silver.

An excellent overview of the silver jewelry of the minority tribes of China, it also addresses clothing and textiles. The photos are superb, with some elements shown larger than actual size. This book would be of interest to both collectors and artisans. The items depicted are from the Rene van der Star Collection. That is the same collection showcased in the book Ethnic Jewellery from Africa, Asia and Pacific Islands. As with the latter book, a number of experts on ethnic jewelry contributed to the total effort, each writing in his particular area of expertise.

The photographic reproduction here is great making it easy to identify the detail in the works. Informative and descriptive though lacking a little in technical detail. I would have liked to have known if there was some content on analysis of the production of the jewellery from a jeweller’s point of view. But all in all the quality and power of the photos make up for the lack of technical detail. Nice book to have.

I work in a boutique and we used this to polish our sterling sliver jewelry. it works well and we didn’t have the problem of buildup like the previous reviewer, but the smell is noxious… REALLY awful. we’re switching to something less toxic smelling.

|Stinks Bad!,
I bought this at Target and it works getting tarnish off my silver jewelry but it leaves a coating making everything look very dull so you’ll still need a polishing cloth. The solution is the worst smelling thing making it almost impossible to stand. I plan on throwing it away – NASTY!

I found this cleaner to work very well. I have a lot of silver jewelry and have never had a problem with it. I do use a cloth to *buff* it and have never noticed that bad of an odor. I’ve tried a lot of cleaners and this is by far the best.

The box is very nice but I ordered it with a name engraved for Christmas and it came with no name.
